Your privacy at Think Gifts
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Think Gifts may collect, why we use it, who we may share it with and the choices and rights available to you.
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how Think Gifts collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal data when you visit our website, create an account, place an order, contact us, upload personalisation content or use our design and AI-assisted features.
For data-protection purposes, the relevant business/controller is Coverage Gifts Trading LLC, trade licence number [TRADE LICENCE NUMBER], at 105 Al Faraidooni Building, Abu Hail, Dubai, U.A.E. Privacy contact: support@thinkgiftsuae.com.
2. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to personal data processed through the Think Gifts website and related customer-service, ordering, personalisation and fulfilment activities. It does not automatically apply to independent third-party websites or services that have their own privacy policies.
If a specific service gives you an additional privacy notice at the point of collection, that notice should be read together with this policy.
3. Personal Data We May Collect
Depending on how you use Think Gifts, we may collect:
- Identity and contact data: name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address.
- Account data: login/account identifiers, account preferences and order history.
- Order and transaction data: products, personalisation selections, prices, invoices, payment status, delivery status and customer-service history.
- Personalisation content: names, messages, photographs, logos, artwork, reference images, instructions and other files you choose to upload.
- Technical data: IP address, device/browser information, security logs and website interaction data where collected by the site or enabled services.
- Communications: messages sent through contact forms, email, phone, WhatsApp or other support channels used by the business.
- Marketing preferences: whether you have chosen to receive or decline promotional communications.
4. Personalisation & AI-Assisted Design Data
If you use an AI-assisted design, image-editing or generation feature, prompts, instructions, uploaded reference images and resulting design files may be processed as reasonably necessary to provide that feature, create the requested design and fulfil or support the order.
Technology or image-processing service providers may assist with these functions where required. The specific technical services used by the website may change over time.
Please avoid uploading sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary for the requested product. If you upload an image or information about another person, you should have an appropriate right or permission to do so.
5. How We Collect Personal Data
We may collect data directly from you when you create an account, submit a form, place an order, upload a file, personalise a product, contact support, subscribe to marketing or otherwise interact with us.
We may also receive limited data from service providers involved in payment, delivery, fraud prevention, analytics, hosting, website security or other functions used to operate the store.
6. How We Use Personal Data
We may process personal data for purposes including:
- creating and managing customer accounts;
- processing, personalising, producing and fulfilling orders;
- processing payments and preventing fraud;
- arranging delivery, collection and order tracking;
- providing customer service and resolving complaints;
- operating design, preview and AI-assisted personalisation features;
- maintaining website security, reliability and performance;
- keeping invoices, accounting records and other records required by law;
- improving products, services and customer experience using appropriately collected data;
- sending marketing where you have chosen to receive it or where another lawful basis applies, with the ability to opt out where required.
We process personal data only where there is an appropriate legal basis under applicable law, which may include consent, steps necessary to enter into or perform a contract, compliance with legal obligations, protection of legal rights, or other lawful grounds recognised by UAE law.
7. Cookies & Similar Technologies
The website may use necessary cookies or similar browser technologies for functions such as shopping-cart operation, account login, security, checkout and remembering privacy choices.
Optional analytics or marketing technologies may also be used where enabled and legally permitted. Where the Think Gifts consent manager controls those technologies, optional categories remain disabled until the customer chooses to enable them.
More information and the current preference controls are available in our Cookie Policy and through the website's Cookie settings control.
8. Payment Information
Think Gifts uses Mamo Pay for online payment processing. When you pay online, payment and transaction information may be transmitted to Mamo Limited and/or payment-processing infrastructure and service providers used by Mamo in order to authorise, secure, process, reconcile and settle the transaction.
Think Gifts does not ask customers to send full payment-card numbers or card-security codes through ordinary email or contact forms. Full card credentials are intended to be handled by the payment infrastructure used for checkout rather than stored directly by Think Gifts.
We may receive limited payment-related information needed to manage your order, such as payment status, transaction reference, amount, payment method type, fraud/security result or refund status.
Mamo processes personal data under its own privacy and regulatory obligations. You can review Mamo’s privacy notice at Mamo Privacy Policy.
9. When We May Share Personal Data
We do not sell personal data to advertisers. We may share personal data only where reasonably necessary and legally permitted, including with:
- Mamo Pay and payment-processing providers involved in authorising and settling online payments;
- website hosting, IT, security and technical-support providers;
- third-party courier, delivery and fulfilment providers selected for a particular order or destination;
- printing, engraving, production or personalisation partners where a third party is needed to fulfil an order;
- AI or image-processing providers used for customer-requested design features;
- analytics, communications or marketing providers where lawfully enabled;
- professional advisers, auditors, insurers or service providers where necessary; and
- government, regulatory, law-enforcement or judicial authorities where disclosure is required or legally justified.
We do not name a single courier in this policy because the delivery provider may vary by order, destination, service level and availability. Relevant delivery information is shared only as reasonably necessary to fulfil the shipment.
10. International Data Transfers
Some technology, payment, hosting, communications, analytics, AI or other service providers may process personal data outside the UAE where this is necessary for the relevant service.
Where Think Gifts is responsible for a cross-border transfer of personal data, we will apply the requirements of applicable UAE data-protection law, including any required legal grounds or safeguards.
Mamo's current privacy information also explains that payment-related personal data may be transferred outside the DIFC and the UAE where necessary to provide its services, subject to applicable safeguards.
11. How Long We Keep Data
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for legitimate business administration, or for as long as we are required or permitted to retain it under applicable legal, accounting, regulatory, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution requirements.
Different categories of information may therefore be kept for different periods. When information is no longer reasonably required, it may be deleted, anonymised or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable law and our operational requirements.
Third-party providers, including payment providers, may have separate legal or regulatory retention obligations that apply to information they process in their own capacity.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss or misuse. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, so customers should also protect their account credentials and contact us if they suspect unauthorised access.
Access to personal data should be limited to people and service providers who need it for legitimate business purposes.
13. Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable UAE law and relevant exceptions, you may have rights concerning your personal data, including rights to obtain information about processing, request access, correct inaccurate data, request deletion where applicable, restrict or stop certain processing, object in applicable circumstances, and request data portability where the legal conditions are met.
You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal, and some data may still need to be retained where another lawful basis or legal obligation applies.
To make a privacy request, contact support@thinkgiftsuae.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
14. Marketing Communications
You should be able to choose whether to receive promotional or marketing communications. Where you have opted in or another lawful basis applies, we may send relevant Think Gifts offers or updates.
You can opt out using the unsubscribe method in the message or by contacting us. Service communications about an existing order, account, security issue or customer-support request are not marketing and may still be sent when necessary.
15. Children’s Data
The website is intended for customers who can lawfully enter into the relevant transaction. We do not intentionally ask children to submit personal data independently for online purchases.
If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal data inappropriately, please contact us so the situation can be reviewed in accordance with applicable law.
16. Third-Party Links & Services
The website may link to third-party websites, couriers, payment pages, social platforms or other services. Their handling of personal data is governed by their own privacy practices. We encourage you to review those notices before providing personal data directly to a third party.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology, providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with its effective date.
If a change materially affects how we use personal data, we will take any additional notice or consent steps required by applicable law.
